If you are looking at homes in North Scottsdale, Silverleaf is an exclusive community that should be explored. This is a separate guard-gate neighborhood at DC Ranch. It is a “private enclave” of custom homes in the canyons of the McDowell Mountains. The McDowell Sonoran Preserve surrounds this community.
The Market Street retail area is right next to Silverleaf. This area full of shopping and restaurants is at the entry to DC Ranch. Downtown Scottsdale is about 20 minutes away and Phoenix is about a 35-minute drive.
Silverleaf itself is 2000 acres and contains over 700 homes that are either custom or semi-custom. Homes range from approximately $1 million - $5 million. Most Silverleaf homes have spectacular view of the surrounding natural environment.
Architecture styles for Silverleaf homes include Casitas, Verandah and Park Village. Casitas focus on spacious, open floor plans with Spanish Colonial style design. CSE and Associates designed these homes. CSE and Associates also designed the Park Villas. These Silverleaf homes have central courtyards and lots of outdoor living space. Floor plans range from 2600 square feet to 4500 square feet.
Verandah homes were created by the Verandah homes company and have floor plans that range from 2800 square feet to 5000 square feet. Verandah homes have large front porches and yards.
Due to its close proximity to DC Ranch, homeowners can take advantage of the community’s amenities, which include a large community recreation complex, hiking paths and schools.
Naerby Market Street, located at the southeast corner of Thompson Peak Parkway and Pima Road, includes a variety of stores and offices. Dining includes Armitage Bistro and Wine Lounge, Fleming’s Steakhouse, and Grimaldi’s Pizza. There are 9 restaurants to choose from in total. Stores include L’Hermitage Jewelers and the French Bee.
The golf course at Silverleaf is another notable feature of this community, as Silverleaf has its own country club and championship golf course. It opened to rave reviews in 2004. This Tom Weiskopf golf course is on 7322 yards of terrain and is renowned for providing a challenge for all levels of golfers.
Silverleaf also has a club and spa that is about 50,000 square feet. This beautiful building has stone finish and timber accents. The spa at Silverleaf provides a tranquil setting and a wide variety of treatments from Shiatsu to hot stone massage.
Silverleaf residents attend Copper Ridge School, which is a K-8 shared use facility that is part of the Scottsdale Unified School District. Chaparral High is the high school for this region. Many parents also send their children to private school at Notre Dame Preparatory, as it is just a few miles from Silverleaf homes.
