Fluff your feathers, fill up those water bottles and start practicing your gobbles…it’s trotting time! All the following Turkey Trots take place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2016.
Fountain Hills Turkey Trot
Over 1,500 people participate in this Fountain Hills holiday tradition each year! Choose from a 5K Run or 1 Mile Fitness Walk. Pre-Registration will be open through November 17. Participants can pre-register online or in person at Fountain Hills Town Hall or Community Center, located in Town Hall at 16705 E. Avenue of the Fountains. All registration forms and race fees will be due at sign up. All pre-registered participants will receive a commemorative Turkey Trot T-shirt. Awards will be given to the top two finishers in various age divisions. The start line for all distances will be on La Montana Drive. Stay after the race to watch the Chamber of Commerce’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Fountain Hills Community Center, 13001 N. La Montana Drive, Fountain Hills.

Lifetime Fitness Turkey Day Run Phoenix
The Lifetime Fitness 5K/10K is a scenic, flat course for you, family and friends! The course was designed to let runners experience downtown Phoenix in a unique, relaxed way. The stretch into the finish line offers a picturesque backdrop highlighted by the State Capitol building. Strollers are allowed, but must line up behind individual runners and walkers. Also available, a 1-mile Gobbler Dash for kids 12 and under, and the Tot Trot, a 25-50 yard dash for kids ages 6 and under. Kids Zone and a “Catch the Turkey” contest. Anthem Turkey Trot
The Anthem Turkey Trot begins and ends at the Anthem Community Center, this mostly flat course winds through the beautiful Anthem community in the shadow of Daisy Mountain and Gavilan Peak. There are several options, a 10k Run, 5k Run/Walk, and Kids Dash. The fun, family event is stroller-friendly. Packet pickup is at the Anthem Community Center, 41130 N. Freedom Way, Anthem.
