My kids are animal lovers who spot every furry, flying and scaled creature around them. Living in North Phoenix real estate provides a natural desert zoo daily with sightings of rattlesnakes, lizards, roadrunners and rabbits galore. Although never tiring of the animals around us in Scottsdale real estate and North Phoenix real estate, we always enjoy a trip to the Phoenix Zoo to explore and view the many wild and exotic animals.
It only takes less than 30 minutes from North Phoenix or Scottsdale real estate to
to get to the zoo. The weather currently is heavenly, providing days when you realize why we survive our hot summer…we have the gift of amazingly perfect Phoenix weather for more than ½ of the year. The zoo is a perfect place to walk, relax and allow your kids to run the many paths while getting tremendously excited to spot the enormous White Rhino or the magnificent Asian Elephant. The kids can even have a hands on experience for a few extra dollars to feed the giraffes…this is a must! My girls still insist on walking the Arizona Trail, as this is the best example of Arizona wildlife. The girls had a new experience on the children’s trail…they “milked” a pretend cow. Off the Children’s Trail is Harmony Farm and Shamrock Milk(AZ’s largest milk producer) gives a hands on experience for kids as they pull on the pretend utters to get the water out, so fun! I would also suggest parents to get some exercise while at the zoo by renting a bike or taking a boat ride. We were able to hang out on the water with rescued pelicans from the major oil spill in Florida. They are happy as can be in their new home in Phoenix, as most are! We realized by the end of our day that we saw the most animals yet this day, making me realize late afternoon is a perfect time to visit.
We had a wonderful, relaxing time at the Phoenix Zoo and I would suggest any resident or visitor to Scottsdale real estate to take a day to enjoy the many animals, a great walk and the great snacks….I highly suggest the delicious kettle corn!
