DC Ranch News-June/July 2016

2016-06-07_1417DC Ranch attributes much of its success to generous volunteer residents and local businesses. At the 2016 Volunteer Appreciation Celebration in April, DC Ranch shined the spotlight on five residents who have gone above and beyond to provide their time and talent to the DC Ranch over the past year.

Stacey Chulew was awarded the Good Neighbor Award honoring a resident who helps a fellow neighbor or volunteers at a community event of program. Stacey has collaborated with a dedicated group of DC Ranch residents to the make the DC Ranch Women’s Club one of the community’s most successful programs.

John Hendrickson was awarded the Leadership Award honoring a dedicated board member, subcommittee participant, or Neighborhood Voting Member. John has served as a Neighborhood Voting Member, member of the budget and finance committee, and director on the Ranch Association Board.

Julie Olson was awarded the Philanthropy Award honoring a resident who volunteers for a community service project or creates a resident-let giving project. Julie has been a philanthropist for many years, but she is especially passionate about the Pajama Program. The program gives new pajamas and books to more than 30 area charities that serve children.

Sarah McKeighan was awarded the Youth Award honoring a young resident who volunteers for a DC Ranch event. Sarah was the Assistant Stage Manager for The Homestead Playhouse’s production of “The JunGirl Book”.

Jim Watson of Moors & Cabot was awarded the Merchant Award honoring a commercial partner for supporting DC Ranch. Jim is Senior Vice President of Investments at Moors & Cabot on Market and is involved in numerous community endeavors.

Congratulations to the award recipients and thank you to all the DC Ranch volunteers for making your community successful!
