The DC Ranch Community Garden is getting ready for the fall growing season. Residents are invited to grow food, community and knowledge a the garden located at Copper Ridge School. DC Ranch residents and their families can sign up to be a “garden hand” working together and sharing the harvest.
Once residents sign up, Farmer Dan will coordinate volunteer hours. A minimum of two hours per month per household is required. The cost per household is $60 per season and includes all workshops and events at the garden.
The “Seed Workshop” will be held on Saturday, September 15th at the garden. Stephen Scott, owner of Terrior Seeds in Sedona, will share his motivation for collecting and selling seeds and will discuss how to collect and store seeds.
