If you aren’t able to escape the heat this Memorial Day weekend with a trip to the beach or the high country, there is still plenty to do! Cave Creek will host its 8th Annual Balloon Festival on Saturday and the National Memorial Cemetery will host its annual ceremony on Monday.
8th Annual Cave Creek Balloon Festival
Hot air balloons are a majestic sight, especially glowing at night at the annual Cave Creek Balloon Festival. In addition to the balloons, you will be albe to enjoy live music from Arizona country artist Harry Luge, along with up-and-coming musicians. There will also be activities for kids, food and desserts from a variety of food trucks, beer, cocktails and wine, and a flyover from Deer Valley Squadron 302! The evening will finish off with fireworks. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for kids 12 and under, and children under two are free. Veterans and military members get tickets at half price with a military ID.

2017 Memorial Day Ceremony
The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona will host its annual Memorial Day Ceremony Monday at 8am. Bikers from all around Arizona will line Cave Creek Road with with American flags and motorcycles will also be there to salute the military families.
