It’s always the question…what should we do this weekend? As if this time of year isn’t busy enough, we have some friends in town that want to see some holiday events. Here’s what I’ve scoped out so far this weekend:
The Holiday World Tour at the MIM. I heard this is quite an experience for adults and kids alike. I’ve been to the MIM with my kids (8 and 10)- they enjoy the hands-on stuff…the tours not so much. But this seems to have a lot going on so it’s worth a try.
PaintScaping and S’mores at the Westin Kierland Resort. I don’t know if this is the first year for this, but it looks like a fun evening. This will show every evening in December. I found a video featuring it, and I’m sure it’s much more spectacular in person. We’ve gone to other events in the past at the Westin they do not disappoint. And you can’t beat S’mores by the fire.
The Gingerbread Village at the J.W. Marriott in Desert Ridge is a must see! Last year the theme was Dr. Seuss Whoville. This year it’s The Wonderland of Oz- can’t wait to see it!
I’ve been dying to take one of these Holiday Themed Hikes at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve in Scottsdale. The Mistletoe and Holly hike is only 3 miles up Tom’s Thumb.
The Scottsdale Street Fair at the Talking Stick Resort. They have a huge list of vendors, and lots of holiday shopping opportunities- I’m still looking for some gifts so I’m going to check it out!
