The McDowell Sonoran Conservancy in North Scottsdale is hosting a new series of nature programs, “Sonoran Sundays,” including two guided hikes in celebration of Preserve Day on Sunday, October 18.
Cholla Mountain Loop Hike
Sunday, October 18th- 8 a.m. Brown’s Ranch Trailhead
The first of two hikes to celebrate Preserve Day. Cholla Mountain Loop combines a good exercise with the opportunity to explore great granite formations and visit a historical site. Allow four hours for this 7.7-mile hike through sustained ups-downs. This hike is for intermediate hikers. Please arrive at Brown’s Ranch Trailhead by 7:45 am
Cone Mountain Loop Hike
Sunday, October 18th- 8 a.m. Brown’s Ranch Trailhead
This is the second of two hikes to celebrate Preserve Day. Cone Mountain Loop provides good exercise through sustained ups-downs to burn more calories! Allow about two hours for this 4-mile round trip hike with about 200-foot elevation gain. Please arrive at the Brown’s Ranch Trailhead by 7:45 a.m.
