Thousands of cyclists will converge on DC Ranch Sunday, October 12, for the 11th annual Tour De Scottsdale ride. This is now the largest urban natural environment preserve in the United States. The Tour kicks off on Market Street beginning at 6:30 am. It challenges cyclists on 30 mile and 70 mile courses through the surrounding Sonoran Desert through Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, and Carefree. After the race kicks off, there is a family expo featuring food vendors, merchandise and live music. The Tour benefits the McDowell Mountain Conservancy, which focuses it efforts on protecting the Sonoran Desert for natural passages and wildlife.
