Its not everyday that you see a blind golfer, but that is exactly what will happen tomorrow, April 30th, when the Leader Dogs Golf Classic 27th annual golf tournament takes place at Troon North Golf Club. The charity, which specializes in providing guide dogs for people who are blind or visually impaired, celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. Blind golfers from all over the world including Canada, Great Britain and all over the United States come in for this one-of-a-kind event. Leader Dogs pay for all expenses for the golfers. During the tournament there will be fun contests and games, such as sighted golfers that are paired with blind golfers and will be blindfolded and lead through an obstacle course by leader dogs. They will also be blindfolded for a hole-in-one-contest where they will drive from the tee box without being able to see the ball. In order to participate, the cost is $225 per person which includes the tournament, lunch, contests and dinner.
