Incorporated in 1987, Litchfield Park is a small residential community located 16 miles west of central Phoenix. Just 2 miles north of the I-10 freeway, this unique city features beautiful orange and palm trees reflecting both its citrus grove and cotton farm history, and which were integrated into the urban landscape design. Litchfield Park features miles of pathways and multiple public spaces within its 3.3 square miles and is near Luke Air Force Base.
Litchfield Park is a family-friendly community thanks to all of its amenities. For example, the Litchfield Park Recreation Center has on site and off site recreational programs for both adults and children, including swimming, tennis, basketball and soccer. Litchfield Park also has ten different parks within its boundaries, featuring miles of walking, jogging and biking paths as well as a 4.5 acre lake, playgrounds and athletic fields.
The historic Wigwam Resort, built in 1929, is the crown jewel of Litchfield Park. From its humble roots as a guest ranch for the nearby cotton farm, the Wigwam Resort is now a premiere travel destination offering swimming, golf, tennis and a spa.
Sports enthusiasts can enjoy the many options available at nearby University of Phoenix Stadium and Surprise Stadium.
