Donovan McNabb is a former NFL who played 13 seasons. McNabb was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Mount Carmel High School, where as a sophomore, he was a teammate of future NFL players Simeon Rice and Matt Cushing. Together, they helped Mount Carmel win the 1991 State Championship, with McNabb scoring the final touchdown of the game. When he was a senior, McNabb led the team to a Chicago Prep Bowl championship. He also excelled in track & field and played on the school basketball team in high school.
Before his NFL career began he played football and basketball at Syracuse University. As a freshman at Syracuse he completed the longest touchdown pass in the school’s history: a 96-yard throw in a game where he accounted for 354 total yards of offense. He was named the Big East Conference’s rookie of the year at the end of that season.
McNabb was drafted in the first round with the second overall pick by the Eagles in the 1999 NFL Draft. While with the Eagles Mcnabb appeared in one Super Bowl and was honored in 6 Pro Bowls. In August 2016, McNabb became the lead analyst for beIN Sports college football coverage, and he also he joined ESPN Radio as an NFL analyst. McNabb and his college sweetheart, Raquel Ann Sarah Nurse, and children split their time between homes in New Jersey and Chandler.
