Sweetwater Ranch is a community in North Scottsdale that was developed from the late 80’s to early 90’s. It’s one of the larger subdivisions in the Cactus Corridor. Even though the name of overall community is Sweetwater Ranch, those that live here know whether they are in Sweetwater Ranch Manor, Sweetwater Ranch Estates, Sweetwater Ranch Village, or Sweetwater Ranch Foothills. Windrose Estates is surrounded by Sweetwater Ranch.

Residents love living here not only for its open feel, but also for its proximity to just about everything. Westworld, one of the country’s premiere equestrian facilities, is 2 miles away and provides entertainment throughout the year that includes but is not limited to horse related activities. The Barrett-Jackson Car auction is held here every year, as well as the famous Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show and Parada Del Sol Rodeo. If horses aren’t your thing but golf is, then you are in luck. There are so many golf courses to choose from in the area- The TPC course where the Waste Management Open is held every winter, Grayhawk Golf Club and McDowell Mountain Ranch Golf club is just a few minutes drive away.As the Scottsdale Unified School District updates their boundaries, we like to make sure this post is up to date. As of 10/20/2014 Sweetwater Ranch feeds Redfield Elementary, Desert Canyon Middle School, and Desert Mountain High School.
