Living in Mirabel

Mirabel Subdivisions MapOne of my favorite areas in North Scottsdale to show homes is the community of Mirabel. It is an empty nester, second home resort atmosphere that is just the right getaway for leisure. You are never in a hurry to get into town. Much of life here revolves around the golf course and club house. You get off the golf course at 4pm, and make your reservation for dinner in Carefree 7pm.

Update 12/15/15: We received a note from the Mirabel general manager asking we remove the links to the Mirabel Posts. We are happy to share these with prospective buyers by appointment but cannot make them publicly available.

The lots are larger and more spread out than most you will find in Scottsdale. The custom homes are nestled in the natural landscape of the high desert, and you may or may not be able to see your closest neighbor. This is part of the charm of this community. The feeling of seclusion.

Mirabel I feel has been over-depressed in the recent years. From about 2007 it was the only area you could really buy newer homes in Scottsdale. Prices were maxed out and came down rapidly, leaving what we see today with the Village at around $500K-$1M, and the Country Club at just over $1M.

Views from here are unbelievable. Between the panoramic mountain views of Pinnacle Peak, Lone Mountain, Black Mountain and the McDowell Mountains, the purity of the air out here offers views of the best sunsets in the valley and sparkling lights of the city. Boating on Bartlett lake is only 15 minutes away.

Many of these homesites have fairway views as well. Mirabel is known as one of “America’s 50 Best Modern Golf Courses” by Golf Digest. Even with all of our amazing golf resorts and clubs around Scottsdale, that’s pretty impressive. The golf club is great too, with everything you’d expect from an exclusive club including tennis courts.

At an elevation of almost 3,000 feet, Mirabel “almost” has a climate that separates it from the rest of the Scottsdale area. In the winter, if Sky Harbor is reporting a 50 degree day, will you believe that this whole North Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Carefree area and especially those homes heading out near Tonto will see minimum 5-7 degrees cooler. This is especially ideal in the summertime.

Mirabel has a community monthly newsletter that’s available to get a better feel for the community.
