Did you know Desert Mountain Outdoor Club members are enjoying mountain and road bicycling outings a few times each month? Typically, these early morning rides stage from either Outlaw or Renegade Clubhouse parking lots, and last from one to two hours.
Mountain bike rides venture into Tonto National Forest lands east of Desert Mountain, or into the McDowell Mountain Regional Park, south of Rio Verde Drive. Road bike rides include routes within or around Desert Mountain, the Bartlett Lake loop, and other offsite destinations. These rides are informal outings where members provide their own gear, transportation, food, are responsible for their own safety and well being, and are not bound to any agenda or schedule.
It’s a great way to get to know your neighbors, and get some great exercise as well. If you are a resident of Desert Mountain, contact member activities to join. You are welcome to bring friends who do not live in Desert Mountain along as well.
