Arcadia residents will once again hit the streets for a good cause on April 19th at 8am. The Arcadia Family Fun Run will once again take over the roads at 48th Street and Lafayette Boulevard in honor of Taylor Cosmas. Mark Cosmas, owner of iRun, and Arcadia full-service running, walking and hiking shoe store, has planned this run for the past three years as a commitment to his daughter. In April 2010, Taylor Paige Cosmos passed away from SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) at only 5 months old. For parents Mark and Katie Cosmos the only way to survive the pain was to try and make a difference, as a result Team Taylor was formed. The first year of the race raised over $60,000. In 2014, its second year the race had 790 runners and raised over $91,000. The money is given to Dr. Hannah Kinney at Boston Children’s Hospital, she uses 100 percent of the funds to research an end for the disorder.
