The McDowell Sonoran Conservancy (MSC) is celebrating a milestone of 30 years! One of the unique aspects of MSC is its impact on many of the people who have chosen to devote their time and talents to its development and growth.
The scope of the steward involvement in the Conservancy’s work stems from an acknowledgment that volunteers as a group have significant skills and capabilities and, when given the opportunity, can organize and direct themselves to great effect.
The MSC preserves and advances natural open space through science, education and stewardship. The Conservancy protects more than 30,500 acres in Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve, the largest urban preserve in the country, with over 750,000 visitors yearly.
