Chaparral provides many levels of education to accommodate students’ needs. Those looking to learn another language will also enjoy Spanish, French, German, Chinese and even Latin classes offered by the school. Chaparral High School has often been called the “private public school”. With an active APT, Chaparral is well funded for activities such as Project Graduation and various other needs.
The vast offerings of the school ensure that students have many extracurricular options and support a spectrum of interests. The school offers traditional sports such as football and baseball, but also include badminton and diving as student options. Club sports such as hockey and lacrosse are also available. Photography, drama, choir, orchestra, and jazz band highlight the arts options within the school, and young musicians can showcase their talents in semi-annual ‘Coffee House’ open mic shows at the school. Chaparral is fed by Cocopah and Desert Canyon Middle schools.
