Located west of Desert Ridge, Pinnacle High School is one of the top high schools in both the state of Arizona and the U.S. It has ranked in the top 1,200 schools in the nation for three years in a row, coming in at number 298 this year. It is ranked as an A+ Excelling school with the Arizona Educational Foundation. Additionally they have an Excelling label under AZ learns.
A large school with over 2300 students, Pinnacle High School is one of five high schools in the Paradise Valley School District, a highly coveted location. It serves families from Phoenix and North Scottsdale, including the Grayhawk community. Sixty-three percent of the students go on to a four year college or university, while another 30% attend community college or vocational schools.
Pinnacle High School offers a traditional high school experience with a multitude of sports and clubs offered to all students. The team mascot is the Pinnacle Pioneers, and they proudly display the school colors of blue and white. Under the leadership of Principal Jason Reynolds, students are strongly encouraged to become involved in after school activities as a way to be connected to their school and to prepare for experience outside of the high school environment.
